Frequently asked questions.
What is Romato Chips?
Romato Chips is my umbrella for bite-sized romance—micro-stories and short fiction that center women’s agency, consent, and joy.
What’s the difference between Sweet, Spicy, and Salty?
Sweet = tender, low-heat; Spicy = higher heat, always consent-forward; Salty = bittersweet/edgier. All share the same core values.
Where should new readers start?
Start with Sweet. A free sampler of three micro-stories is coming soon—join the newsletter to get it the moment it drops (mid-November 2025).
Are these feminist/consent-forward romances?
Yes. My “Rules” are simple: desire is mutual, boundaries are clear, and sex is something you do with someone—not to someone.
How steamy are the stories?
“Sweet” is low-heat or fade-to-black; “Spicy” includes on-page intimacy with clear consent; “Salty” varies but leans emotionally intense.
Do I need to read in order?
No. Most pieces stand alone; you’ll spot some fun crossovers if you read more than one collection.
Do you provide content notes?
Yes—when a story touches sensitive themes, I add brief content notes so you can choose what’s right for you.
Can I buy the books now?
Full-length books are coming in 2026. Until then, follow along for reels and short reads; the free sampler arrives soon.
Can I get a free sample now?
The free three-story sampler will be released soon (aiming mid-November 2025). Join the newsletter to receive it first.
Can book clubs use these?
Yes! You’re welcome to read and discuss. I also provide short discussion prompts for selected stories—use the contact form for details.
Do you offer ARCs or early reads?
ARC opportunities will open closer to the 2026 releases. Join the newsletter to be notified.
Why the name “Ada Jane Behn”?
It’s my pen name—“Ada” nods to Ada Lovelace (pioneer of computing). “Jane” tips a hat to Jane Austen’s wit and Jane Goodall’s empathy and rigor. “Behn” honors Aphra Behn, one of the first English women to earn a living by writing.
Are these suitable for teens?
“Sweet” is generally teen-friendly; “Spicy” is intended for adults; “Salty” varies. Content notes help you decide.
How can I follow along or get in touch?
Instagram for Heroines + Rules reels; the newsletter for first looks and downloads; contact form for rights/press.
